Granite Hill Camping Resort has been home to the internationally acclaimed Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival since 1979, with our 56th and 57th events scheduled for 2008. Each festival features top Bluegrass and Traditional Country musicians performing on our main stage, presenting informative workshops and meeting and greeting fans from all over the world. Our Spring festival is scheduled for May 15-18, 2008, and our Fall festival will be held the week prior to Labor Day, August 21-24, 2008.

In addition to the Festivals themselves, we are pleased to present Pete Wernick’s Jam Camp, during the week leading into the May 2008 festival, and our 7th Annual Gettysburg Bluegrass Academy for Kids, set for August 21-24, 2008, for kids from kindergarten through 12th grades. Please contact us for more information and registration materials.

The Main Stage at Gettysburg has seen stellar performances by most of the world’s top bluegrass artists at some point over the past 28 years. Bill Monroe has performed on our stage on several occasions, including his 75th birthday. The late John Duffey played every Gettysburg festival from 1979 until his untimely death in 1996. Alison Krauss played Gettysburg from her Senior year in high school through the year she won the CMA Award for Female Vocalist of The Year. Our Workshop Stage was the scene of the “Dobro Summit,” the first ever on stage combined performance by Josh Graves, Mike Auldridge, and Jerry Douglas. A lot of bluegrass history has been made at Gettysburg, and there is surely more to come. Plan your vacation around the festival!
