“Restore our Earth” ~ Earth Day Celebration

APRIL 23-25, 2021

As a camping resort the trees on our land are our greatest asset!  As you may know, the blight from the emerald ash borer, which was introduced into the United States in 2002 and made its way down the east coast, wrecked havoc on our campground over the last 10 years forcing us to cut down hundreds of ash trees around the property.  This year’s national earth day theme,  “Restore our Earth”,  is a perfect reminder that we all need to take care of our beautiful land and country.  Now is your chance to be a part of Granite Hill history by sponsoring and naming a new tree to be planted here at the park.  By participating in this event you and yours for generations to come can return to Granite Hill to visit your family tree!  Boyer Nurseries & Orchards, Inc. a local nursery will be supplying the trees.  Campers are invited to sponsor a Red Maple, Sugar Maple, Pin Oak, Red Bud and possibly some other varieties of trees for $75.  The trees will range in size from 4′-6′ and will be planted at a later date.  When the trees are planted a Granite Hill Family Tree Map will be created labeling all the trees and their donors. Tree markers will also be placed at the trees for your family to visit year after year!  In appreciation for your donation to Granite Hill Tree Sponsorship Program we will be giving you a $50 gift card to apply to your next camping reservation!  Be a part of Granite Hill history and join us for Earth Day 2021!
