Thank you for your interest in Granite Hill and for perusing our list of themed weekends. We strive to offer a wonderful camping experience as well as a plethora of activities of all kinds for both the young and young at heart.   Reservations are taken one year in advance on a rolling basis.  Current campers have the first opportunity to renew their same site each weekend if done by close of business on Saturday evening.   We are currently taking reservations for the following dates and events in 2019 and 2020.  Did you miss getting a sewer site last year? or your favorite tent site this year?  Then secure your favorite site or sites now for these fun-filled camping weekends! Groups are highly encouraged to call early to reserve sites together! Keep in mind that holidays and special event weekends like Memorial Weekend and the Halloween usually sell out!  So, call soon!   Activities are held rain or shine (unless there is a safety concern) and subject to change without notice.  Thank you again for visiting our website.  We hope you find the perfect weekend for you and yours!

156TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GETTYSBURG ADDRESS

November 15-17, 2019

Sevenscore and sixteen years ago, Abraham Lincoln delivered a speech that, in less than two minutes, changed the course of America’s future. Though Lincoln has long departed, as have many of the difficulties they faced at that time, the past lives on in the nation’s foundations and is important (and fun) to learn more about. Join other history buffs at the 156th Observance of the Gettysburg Address for Dedication Day at the Soldiers’ National Cemetery in Gettysburg and pay tribute to a moment that has enriched America to become what it is today! There will be engaging activities for the whole family in the Military Park and around Gettysburg, and they are entirely suitable to your interests! Let us host your visit to Gettysburg, and call to book today! For more information for all that there is to do, visit Destination Gettysburg!

HUGE BACK TO SCHOOL POTLUCK PICNIC

With DJ John

August 28 – 30, 2020

Nearly every four years is a leap year which has 366 days, as opposed to a common year, which has 365 in the Gregorian Calendar.  Why have leap years?  Leap years are needed to keep our modern day Gregorian calendar in alignment with the Earth’s revolutions around the sun.  What does this mean for Granite Hill?  It means a shift in the calendar of events. In 2020 there will be two weekends between the 81st Bluegrass Festival and Labor Day Weekend, the Apple Harvest Festivals will shift weekends, and therefore our Halloween Weekends will also shift.  With one more weekend of camping prior to the start of school we thought it would be appropriate to host a huge multi-school back to school potluck picnic!  Regardless of where your kiddos attend school, they are welcome at our BACK TO SCHOOL PICNIC!  We will grill burgers and dogs and you bring a side and dessert to share!

Consequently, Halloween is so popular at Granite Hill that we consecutively host three Halloween weekends in a row during the month of October! Spend some spooky time with the ones you love going on a FREE ghost walk around the campground, roasting s’mores, trick or treating, and decorating pumpkins! Explore our bloodcurdling Haunted Civil War Barn (if you dare), or sashay down the streets of our campground in our costume parade! Whether it’s playing horseshoe, singing karaoke, or goblin’ down some food at the Red Shed Café, we’ve got something to ensure that everyone in the family has the Hallowtime of their life! We specter see you there!
