Nearly every four years is a leap year which has 366 days, as opposed to a common year, which has 365 in the Gregorian Calendar.  Why have leap years?  Leap years are needed to keep our modern day Gregorian calendar in alignment with the Earth’s revolutions around the sun.  What does this mean for Granite Hill?  It means a shift in the calendar of events. In 2020 there will be two weekends between the 81st Bluegrass Festival and Labor Day Weekend, the Apple Harvest Festivals will shift weekends, and therefore our Halloween Weekends will also shift.  With one more weekend of camping prior to the start of school we thought it would be appropriate to host a huge multi-school back to school potluck picnic!  Regardless of where your kiddos attend school, they are welcome at our BACK TO SCHOOL PICNIC!  We will grill burgers and dogs and you bring a side dish to share and we’ll top it off with a build your on sundae ice cream bar!!
